Our community is supported and grows because of individual and group efforts by its community members. To keep this continued growth, United Way of Howard County and its Volunteer Action Center (VAC) needs individuals and groups of people to help out with community problems or fundraising events.

Volunteer opportunities can range from making copies to a more in depth task of helping a family clean their house after a major devastation. Volunteer opportunities change from day-to-day but there are allows more openings than there are volunteers.

Steps to Volunteer
1) Determine how many time you can give and what skills you can skills you would be able to volunteer.
2) Use either the online form at the bottom of this page or print off the form and place your name/groups name in line to volunteer.
3) Complete the form to receive additional information, a written volunteer guide, or to be added to a monthly volunteer opportunity email list.
4) Once filled out, push the "submit" button on the form at the bottom of the page(for the form at the bottom of the page) or mail the form(for printed forms) to:
