Youth, seniors, work groups, church groups, college students and families will participate in the 15th Annual Day of Caring. They will complete complete 20+ projects throughout Howard County and receive a free breakfast and t-shirt thanks to our sponsors. Coupons from Burger King will also be provided for lunch.
Projects are available on a first come first served basis and include a variety of tasks indoor, outdoor painting, landscaping, grounds clean up, creek clean up, office work and indoor cleaning to name just some of the tasks. Individuals and groups can be accommodated. Call soon to reserve your project and get the largest selection, I just need to know the approximate number of people that will be signing up for the project and the type of project you would like to complete. Call Cheryl Graham at 457-4357 for a current list of projects or to sign up for a project.
The American Red Cross will also be conducting a blood drive on the same date at the First Church of the Nazarene from 8:00 am to noon. Here's the schedule: (Projects are reserved prior to the day of the event)
7:30 am- breakfast at NEW LOCATION!-First Church of the Nazarene- the corner of Lincoln Road and Washington, enter from the south door.
8:30 am- Volunteers are dismissed and travel to their project
9:00 to noon The assigned project is completed! (End time is approximate)
