Through an annual fund-raising campaign directed by a volunteer cabinet, United Way of Howard County raises money more efficiently, than individual agencies can do on their own.

With the help of more than 250 local companies and thousands of donors who offered their support, the 2007 Community Campaign raised more than $2,065,000. This year's campaign goal is $2 million.

Eighty-nine cents of every dollar contributed goes directly to services in our community, keeping administrative costs competitively low. United Way of Howard County has a 77-year history of management by community volunteers, who are knowledgeable of local needs and monitor agencies to make sure your money is well spent.
