United Way of Howard County is a local independent, not-for-profit organization. Our mission is to increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another. We do this by cultivating gifts of time, talent and treasure and linking those resources where help is most needed in our community.

United Way of Howard County is operated by staff that promotes volunteerism, raises funds to address important human issues and makes sure money is used in the most efficient manner possible. United Way volunteers research the needs of our community, inform the community of those needs and make sure United Way dollars are distributed to programs that best address those issues in Howard County.
