Taste of Kokomo Wrap Up

With another year of great weather and wonderful attendance, the Taste of Kokomo committee is pleased to announce the restaurant winners of this year’s event.

The silver platter award went to The Windmill Grill – meaning that they recorded the highest number of tickets sold. The restaurant with the second highest sales total and the Rookie of the Year was Half Moon Restaurant & Brewery, with Backyard Bar-B-Q taking home third place. Pastarrific Italian Restaurant was fourth, with Ms. Mary’s Southern Cooking rounding out the top five. The Most Festive Award went to Book Nook Bistro.

Thanks again go to the 23 restaurants, Coca-Cola and Young’s Culligan for making the Taste of Kokomo a spectacular event. “Without the help of these local restaurants this event would not be possible,” said Darrell Blasius, Taste of Kokomo co-chair. “We can’t thank them enough for their participation.”

Eleven bands also donated their time and talents last Saturday to help make the event a success. “The combination of the local music and food made for and great night of family entertainment,” said Brian West, Taste of Kokomo co-chair.
